NEXT BREAKFAST MEETING of the HIGH PEAK BUSINESS CLUB: Friday 17 Feb 2023: ''Will The Pub Survive?'' with Chris Jeffrey, Client Director of CGA by NeilsenIQ. Neilsen tracks data from the pub industry - Chris will show us how, and what's happened over Christmas and New Year. A real insight into a beleaguered sector. The Club started 2014, and is for anyone in business in the beautiful Peak District and nearby. No politics (or at least we try to steer clear). We network, we hear top managers and learn something every time. Previous topics have included Lloyds Bank, HyNet, AutoTrader, Tesla, Quilter, Clover Chemicals, Amazon, Forest Whisky, Barratts and the maker of Astrazeneca vaccines, Cobra Biologics.. a wide variety of businesses. We take a regular look at what the Chancellor is doing to our taxes. Forthcoming meetings 2023 are on horseracing, Care Agencies and the Health & Safety Executive. You don't have to be resident in the High Peak to come (though we hope you love it). We also run a SHARE CLUB monthly on a Thursday lunchtime in a local pub. Our virtual portfolio went from £20k to £35k in 2 years so we must be doing something right! Great fun, learn a lot. No real money, no risk.
